Can I Pause an Exam and Resume Later?
On Premium, yes: you can leave a cloud certification sitting unfinished and come back to it. On the free demo, no — a demo runs from start to finish in one go. The one catch on Premium is the clock, and it is worth understanding before you lean on the feature.
Before leaning on any of this, know that the timer is the one thing a resume will not hand back to you. It also pays to keep two separate actions apart: suspending a whole sitting to finish another day, which your tier governs, and stepping back through a sitting you have not yet submitted, which it never does.
Resuming a Premium Cloud Sitting
Walk away from a Premium run and the partial attempt is held for a few days; return, and it reopens at the first question you had not yet answered, the ones behind it already recorded. It is a saved state you restore into, closer to resuming a suspended virtual machine from a snapshot than to booting it cold. What does not carry over is the countdown. The timer restarts at the sitting’s full length when you resume, not the handful of minutes that remained when you left. Nothing you answered is lost, but a run completed across two visits is no longer an honest read of whether you can hold the pace for a whole cloud certification exam — which is the case, not a rule, for giving a full-length run one unbroken stretch whenever pacing is what you are trying to measure.
Moving Within a Cloud Sitting Is Different
Going back inside a live sitting is a separate thing, and it is open on every mode, the demo included. While the clock is running you can return to an earlier item and revise your answer, or skip one and circle back to it any time before you submit. That backward movement happens under the one clock; it does not stop, save, or reset anything. Only leaving the sitting altogether triggers the hold-and-resume behavior, and only Premium offers that. So revising as you go is universal; suspending a sitting to finish later is the Premium-only part.
Nothing you have entered is ever lost to a pause; the only thing a resume cannot restore is the pressure of a shrinking clock. Give a full cloud run one unbroken stretch when that pressure is the point, and fall back on resuming only when the alternative is losing the sitting altogether.
